Hattie Mae Henderson was born in Kilborne, Lousiana on August 9, 1938 to her parents, the late Johnny B. Haynes and Ella Mae West-Haynes. She was the 5th child born to this union. While growing up she enjoyed her two sister, three brothers and one nephew. They were a close-knit family and always knew that if all else failed, that they could depend on one another. They would make lasting memories of quality time spent just enjoying each other. After the death of her parents, Hattie moved to Oakgrove, Lousiana to be with her older sister. She received her formal education in Oakgrove and it was also there that she met and married Joseph Jordan. This union was blessed with five children. Hattie raised her children in a home filled with lots of guidance and ton of love. In those early years the family may not have had everything they wanted, but Hattie made sure they had all that they needed. In 1971, Hattie moved the family to Vallejo, California. It was there that she met Lee Henderson. After Lee’s death, Hattie moved to Colorado in 1982. She would remain in Colorado until her passing. Hattie was a fun-loving woman, who enjoyed life and those she encircled. She will be remembered for her smile and the words of wisdom she provided to her friends and loved ones. Hattie is preceded in death by her parents, Johnny B. Haynes and Ella Mae West-Haynes, daughter Helen, son Daniel; three brothers, Sam and Jimmy Jones and Johnny B. Haynes, Jr.; sister, Willie Mae Thomas; and her first husband, Joseph Jordan. She leaves to cherish her memory her three children, Donna, Frank and Robert Jordan; sister, Susie Johnson; grandchildren, Shanika, Shemika, Otisha, Roger, Robert, Robert, Jr., Raymon, Rayven, Romell, Teann, Joseph and Michael; 8 great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and nephews and five generations of great nieces and nephews.
