Gwendolyn Ann Harris was born on August 29, 1952, in Marshall, Texas to her parents, Thomas B. Clark, Sr. and Annie M. King-Clark. She was raised surrounded by her brothers, Thomas, Jr., Ronald, Winston, Martin, and her sisters, E. Patrice, Debra, and Stephanie. She received her early education in Marshall, Texas where she graduated from H.B. Pemberton High School. On November 25, 1969, she united in holy matrimony to John Robertson in Marshall, Texas. To this union, two beautiful daughters, Alicia and Crystal were born. They remember their mother as taking great pride and joy in the care and nurture of her family. Her love was unconditional and she made many sacrifices for her daughters. She was later blessed with five grandchildren, Thomas, Sidney, Aryka, Starr and Taneel, and three great grandchildren, Maisen, Esynce, and Tristan, who all were an additional source of joy and pride in her life. They lovingly called her "Nana or Nannie" and fondly remember all the happy and precious moments they all shared together. By profession, Ann was employed by Ferguson Enterprises as a Lead Credit Assistant. She performed her assigned duties with precision and excellence. She was respected by her colleagues and admired by supervisors. A woman of faith and belief in the Lord, she was a member of Living Waters Christian Church. Ann was a fun-loving woman, who enjoyed life and those she encircled. In her free time, she enjoyed cooking, shopping, decorating, and spending quality time with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren and other family members. Her closest friends, Carol Alford, Cathy Robinson and Dorothy Page will miss the camaraderie's they all shared together and fact that she was a true and trusted friend. To know Ann was to love her. Gwendolyn Ann Harris departed this life on March 18, 2017, in Denver, Colorado. Those left to cherish her memory and mourn her loss include two daughters, Alicia M. Robertson of Houston, Texas and Crystal N. Robertson of Louisville, Kentucky; 3 brothers, Thomas B. (Evelyn) Clark, Jr. of Richardson, Texas, Winston L. (Julia) Clark of Houston, TX, and Martin L. (Amanda) Clark of Marshall, TX; 2 sisters, Debra D. (Stephen) Delasbour, and Stephanie M. Clark of LaPort, TX; 5 grandchildren, Thomas C. Robertson, Sidney M. Robertson both of Portland, OR, Aryka M. Gathright, Starr N. Gathright and Taneel A. Gathright all of Louisville, KY; 3 great grandchildren, Maisen X. McNeal, Esynce J. McNeal both of Louisville, KY and Tristan M. Robertson of Portland, OR and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
