Gregory Clay Burgin Jr. was born October 21st, 1972, to the union of Phyllis J. Love and Gregory Burgin Sr., in Denver Colorado. He attended Denver Public Schools until 1982; when the family moved to Southern California. After a short stint in both the cities of Inglewood and Cerritos, the family bought a home in Anaheim CA. There Greg attended South Junior High school and Katella high school. While he was a student at Katella, Greg earned money working at Camelot, Anaheim Family Fun Center, and Disneyland. He also made money DJing local parties around town and selling his mixtapes. Greg graduated alongside his aunt Tarlena Burgin and cousin Kendell Wesley, as members of Katella High School’s graduating class of 1990. The trio of graduates were featured in an article in the newspaper for such a cool accomplishment as a family. After high school, Greg founded a medical courier company, Blue Line Courier, in 1991. At this company, his younger siblings; Carol and Peter, were his first employees/drivers at the ages of 15 and 11 years old. He later moved back to Colorado and opened a wireless communications shop. The pager shop, found on Colfax Blvd, was a family affair as well. There Greg worked alongside his older brother Jeffrey and his best friend, Carlton Singleton. As a serial entrepreneur, Greg ran several businesses throughout his early adulthood. Eventually Greg followed in the footsteps of his father Big Greg and became a car salesman. His charm and naturally disarming demeanor were great assets in this job field. Greg worked at Cabe Toyota, Garden Grove Nissan and rose up the ranks from salesman taking ups on the sales floor to a deskman penciling deals. Never afraid to restart and relocate Greg, moved to Oklahoma City, OK, where he worked at AT&T's call center. During his time in Oklahoma City, he made many friends that he stayed connected with until the end. Greg returned home to Colorado, once again. While there, he served as primary caregiver for several family members including his mother Phyllis, his bonus Grandma Audrey Harris, and his paternal grandmother De’Lois Washington. Although he never married, Greg had several serious relationships in his lifetime, including his high school sweetheart Tari Bowen, and Mechela McCall; both whom preceded him in death. From his longtime partnership with Yvonne Singleton, Greg became bonus dad to his daughters Mar’Shay Smith and Journey Malouf. His daughters were the source of pride, many smiles and joyful memories. Greg even became Papa to Alaysia, Niko and Cairo. Greg was preceded in death by his parents Gregory Clay Burgin Sr. and Phyllis Love Burgin Delahoussaye. As well as his grandparents Earline Love, John Love, De’Lois Washington and William Burgin. Those left to cherish his memory and mourn his loss include his stepmother Ruby J Harvey Burgin. His siblings Jeffrey Jones Carroll (Yvette) of McKinney, TX. Shaynee Howard (Robert) of Florence AZ. Carol Burgin Martin (Joshua) of Los Angeles, CA. Peter Burgin (Devin) of Orange, CA; and Maxwell Burgin of Carson, CA. As well as 1 million cousins, uncles, aunts and various other relatives and friends. Greg was a very proud uncle to his nieces and nephews and a constant source of smiles to family and friends. He will be greatly missed.
