Glenford A. Niles was born on January 29, 1944, in Colon, Panama to his parents, Elena Enid Daniel and Rudolph Niles. He was the second of five children. He grew up in Panama City, Panama where he attended and graduated from Thomas Alda Edison Trade School. In 1972, Glenford began working for the Canal Zone Mental Health Center as a nursing assistant. He then was transferred to the Gorgas Army Hospital, where he worked as a medical clerk. In March 1995, Glenford retired from the Federal Service. Glenford met Julia Garcia at the Mental Health Center, where they both worked. On November 17, 1977, Glenford and Julia married, and from this union, two children were born, Melisha E. Niles and Sergio A. Niles. In 1998, Glenford decided to move to the United States, for a better future for his children. In the United Stated, he worked as a valet parking clerk. He retired again in 2008. Glenford A. Niles departed this life on July 9, 2014, in Denver, Colorado. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife Julia Niles; his sons, Glenn A, Niles, Sergio A. Niles; his daughter, Melisha E. Franklin-Niles; his step daughter, Denise C. (Reginald) Cole; 7 grandchildren; brothers, sisters, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many friends.
