George Henry Tucker was born on April 11, 1942, in Muskogee, Oklahoma to his parents, David Tucker and Elizabeth Bowie Tucker. He was the sixth child of seventeen children born in the family. As a child, he loved fishing, hunting and working on cars. He received his formal education in Oklahoma where he attended the Lonewolf High School. On April 21, 1964, George enlisted in the United States Army. While in the Army, he earned a Marksman Ribbon for the M-14 Rifle. He served with honor and distinction and was honorably discharged. George eventually relocated to Denver, Colorado. He met the former Ramona Huss. The couple exchanged vows at the Justice of Peace, and to this union they shared a son, Johnnie Huss. For over twenty five years, the family shared many happy and precious moments together. This marriage was later dissolved. By profession, George worked for several roofing companies. He worked doing odd jobs with his brother in laws, Delano Hope and Tommy Thompson. He even owned his own landscaping business. Where ever he worked, George was a man who always put forth his best effort in whatever job or task he performed. George was a fun loving man, who enjoyed life and those he encircled. In his free time, he enjoyed spending quality time with his siblings and other family members. His closest friends, Joe and the Huguley Family, will miss the camaraderie they all shared together and the fact that he was a true and trusted friend. He will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known this kind and wonderful man, who had a heart of gold and who was generous and loved to cook. To know George was to love him. He is preceded in death by his parents, David and Elizabeth Tucker; five brothers, Samuel Tucker, Robert Tucker, Johnny Tucker, Arthur Tucker, and Benny Ray Tucker; and two sisters, N. Jane Summers, and Carol Givan. George Henry Tucker departed this life on January 27, 2015, in Denver, Colorado. Those left to cherish his memory and mourn his loss include, 1 brother, Perry L. Tucker; 5 sisters, Nettie A. Burleson, Doris J. Tucker, Lucy M. Washington, Hadiya Hagg all of Denver and Delia A. Thompson of Middletown. OH; his step son, Johnny Huss of Denver and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins other relatives and many friends.
