Gary Waddy, Sr.

October 23, 1951 — April 28, 2015

Gary Michael Waddy, Sr. was born on October 23, 1950, in Denver, Colorado to his parents, Henry Wilson Waddy, and Helen AdilineMiller-Waddy. He was the oldest of two children, raised with his sister, Tobitha. Gary completed his formal education when he graduated from Denver's East High School. Gary met and was later united in marriage to Linda Moore in the backyard of his parents home. From this union, Gary, Jr., Lashawn, and Lakeysa were born. He was also the proud father of Michelle. The family would enjoy moments together; however, his joy was overfilled when he shared his love with his 10 grand children, and 8 great grandchildren. Gary spent as much time with them as he could whither it was watching them play sports, or just hanging out with them. Gary was a lover of life, always making people laugh and joking around with everyone. His favorite pastime was hanging at the park with his friends and family, taking long walks, and playing cards and dominoes with his son, Gary, Jr. Gary's best friend was Lee Aurthur. Lee will miss the times they shared laughing and joking together. Gary will be missed by all who knew and loved him. Gary Waddy, Sr. was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Moore; his parents, Henry and Helen Waddy; and his grandson, Davounte' Hudgens.
