Frank L. Mills was born on July 19, 1948, in Plaquemine, Louisiana to his parents, Frank Mills Jr. and Delories Elwood Mills. He was the second of two children born in the family. Frank spent the first eight years of his life in Plaquemine before moving with his parents and his Uncle Dave to Denver, Colorado in 1956. Upon arriving, his sister, Bobery Ann in Denver his family was complete. He was excited to have his sister and they developed a tight knit sibling bond until her death in 1975. In 1961, a sister, Roshell Elwood, joined the family. In Denver, he developed and fostered childhood relationships that lasted his entire life. Frank received his primary and secondary education in Denver graduating in 1966, from East High School. He furthered his education by attending Metropolitan State earning a Associates Degree in Auto Mechanics. In 1964, at sixteen Frank met the love of his life through a mutual friend. On December 29, 1966, Frank united in holy matrimony to the former Angelina J. Murillo. To this union, Marilyn L., Nicole A., and Frank Junior IV were born. Frank and Angelina had been married 47 years at the time of his passing. The family shared many happy and memorable moments together. Later his grandchildren, Dalante, Tazmihl, Maitea, Frank V, Christian, and Kadir were born. They lovingly called him "Kappa" and fondly have memories of him working on cars, being in his garage tinkering with his tools, and embracing the latest technical gadgets. By profession, Frank was a business entrepreneur. He owned and operated his own business successfully for over forty years. As is Frank's nature, he utilized his business to help employees, family, friends, and members of his community. Frank was always willing to employ those in need. Ironically Frank was not a fisherman but also held employment for thirty years at Eagle Claw Fishing Tackle, where he manufactured fish hooks in there brazing department. Frank lived his life as a loving husband, father, and friend. His walk included spirituality and tenants of the LORD. He fostered a fierce love of family loyalty, education, politics, and a belief in uplifting oneself. Frank was a people person and could talk to anyone from all walks of life. When you had a conversation with Frank you felt like he truly knew you. Frank was full of humor and always had a smile on his face. He was a lifetime Bronco fan and enjoyed attending the games. He loved motor sports, music, western movies, auto shows, and history. Many of his days were spent with his friends and helping the neighborhood with repairing their cars. He will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known this kind and gracious man. He is in preceded in death by his father, Frank Mills Jr., his mother, Delories Mills, and his sister, Bobery Ann Mills. Frank L. Mills departed this life on October 28, 2014, in Denver, CO. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Angelina J Mills; his children, Marilyn L (Dayyan K) Mills-Walker, Nicole A., Frank J., his sister, Roshell Pierre-Louis; his uncle, Davis (Norma) Elwood all of Denver; 5 Grandchildren; 1 great grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles cousins, and other relatives in Denver, Plaquemine and New Orleans, other relatives and many friends.
