Frank Cheatom

Frank “Boo” Lee Cheatom was born on December 19th,1958 in Columbia, Missouri to his parents Frank Cheatom and Carrie Mae Galbreath-Cheatom. He grew up surrounded with his siblings, Rodney, Teresa, Lisa, Jack, and Angela. Being born and raised in Columbia, MO, he HUGE Mizzou Tigers & Kansas City Chief’s fan.

As a young adult, Frank moved to Denver, Colorado. He met and married Sherri Givens. To this union, Tamara, Gabryale, Em’Rald, and Cary were born. Although he and Sherri divorced, they remained good friends and worked together to be the best parents to their children. Frank believed in living life to the fullest and was very family oriented. He loved and treated everyone like they were his own children. Later, his grandchildren added an additional source of pride and joy to his life. He LOVED giving Amira, Nastacia, Tiyanna, De’Aundre, Nydja, and Isaiah money and they had no problem being on the receiving end (LOL).

By profession Frank held various positions as a custodian and warehouse worker until he retired. Frank’s love shined brighter than any of his many duties. He loved hard and deep, and he loved his family in ways they all needed. Frank was a person who accepted everyone with open arms, but he did not hold his tongue when it came to telling someone how he felt. Although, he could be stubborn at times, he had a big heart! With his presence, no one ever experienced a dull moment. He was a provider, protector, and friend to so many. All he hoped for was that his children had better lives than he did. In his spare time Frank enjoyed traveling, going to Casinos, or just cruising around the town listening to his old school music and visiting his family. Frank’s presence and smile will be greatly missed.

On Friday, January 21st, 2022, after battling pneumonia and Covid, Frank peacefully embraced his Lord and Savior. Those left to cherish his memory include his children, Tamara (LoRenzo) Hickem of Columbia, MO, Gabryale Cheatum of St. Louis, MO, Em’Rald Cheatum of Denver, CO, and Cary (Kelly) Williams Givens of Aurora, CO; grandchildren, DeAngelo, Amira, Nastacia, Tiyanna, De’Aundre, Nydja, and Isaiah; siblings, Rodney Worley of Tulsa, OK, Teresa (Chuck) Cheatom of Columbia, MO, and Lisa (Kenny) Cheatom; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
