Felton Fontenot, Jr., was born on January 22, 1957, in Beaumont, Texas to his parents, JoAnn Barnes and Felton Fontenot, Sr. He was raised with his siblings, Edward, Harold, Carol, Jerry, JoAnne, Shirley and Marva.
Felton's passion for cooking began at a young age. After graduating from Charlton-Pollard High School in Beaumont, Texas, he enlisted in the United States Army where he served proudly. Felton later embarked on a career as a cook, working at various restaurants throughout his life. His culinary skills were superb and he enjoyed making new delicious creations.
Beyond his culinary talents, Felton was known for his funny personality. He had a gift for making people laugh and lighting up any room he entered. His humor brought joy to the lives of those around him.
In addition to his love for cooking he had a deep love for music. He found solace in playing the piano, trumpet, and trombone. His dedication to music allowed him to express himself creatively and provided him with a sense of fulfillment.
One of Felton's proudest accomplishments was being part of a band where he showcased his musical talent.
Family was very important to Felton, and he took great pride in his loved ones. He adored his family and was always proud of their achievements. As we say farewell to this remarkable individual, let us remember him for his zest for life and the joy he brought to those around him.
Felton is survived by his brother Jerry (Bonnie) Smith Sr., sisters JoAnne (Steve) Goering, Shirley Ann (Leon, Sr.) Haynes, and Marva Alfreda (Don) Hawkins. He will be deeply missed by them as well as by nieces, nephews and numerous friends.
