Felicia Rochelle Martin was born on March 7, 1967 in Little Rock, Arkansas to her parents, Derotha Williams and Melvin Martin. She was raised with her brothers, Reginald, Melvin, Larry and Stacey Martin; along with her sisters, Carolyn Martin, Tracey Martin, Danielle Yorks and Regina Martin.
Rochelle’s sister Carolyn recalls a time in their youth when they used to collect coke bottles to turn in for money. One day while taking a trip to turn in the bottles they were chased by a dog and Rochelle turned around and hit the dog with the bottles. She did no tolerate any non-sense.
She was educated through Denver Public Schools where she attended and later graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School. After graduating, Rochelle established a career as a Special Needs Care Giver.
She was later blessed with the birth of her daughters, Tanika, Toni, Erica and Talisha. Her daughters fondly recall their mother being the life of the party. When they would invite friends over to hang out, she would get everyone laughing until their stomach’s hurt.
Looking for additional opportunities, Rochelle moved to Anchorage, Alaska where she met a young man named Randy Williams. The couple enjoyed more than 30 years together.
In her free time, Rochelle enjoyed socializing with others. She was the center of entertainment and loved to dance, play spades and tunk. If you needed a good laugh, she was your go to person. She gained an additional source of pride and joy with the birth of her grandchildren, Jaivon, Jenesis, Jamirah, Trevian, Mason, Joshua, Sincere “RIH”, Lyric, Jadonis and Legacy. She spoiled her grandchildren and would do anything for them. She will truly be missed.
Rochelle passed away on, December 7, 2022. Those left to cherish her memory include her daughters, Tanika, Toni, Erica, and Talisha; partner, Randy; grandchildren, Jaivon, Jenesis, Jamirah, Trevian, Mason, Joshua, Sincere “RIH”, Lyric, Jadonis and Legacy; mother, Derotha Williams; and Siblings.
