Earnest William Noble, Jr. was born on June 16, 1938, in Fort Worth, Texas to his parents, Earnest William Noble, Sr. and Helen J. Anderson Noble. He was the first child born in the family. He was raised surrounded by the love his sisters, Ruth and Carolyn. They remember him as being close and protective of them. He received his early education by attending Manual High School when the family relocated to Denver, Colorado. Earnest met the former Rosalie Gomez when they both were in high school. They were later married and to this union, Everette and Rosalyn were born. In 1962, he wed the former Charlene Henson and to this union, a daughter, Monica was born. He later became the father of a son named, Shawndell. Earnest was a loving and devoted father who took great pride and joy in the care and nurture of his family. He later united in holy matrimony to the former Lois Flowers. There were no children born to this union. Lois preceded him in death in 2016. Earnest was later blessed with six grandchildren, Laquita, Quincey, Lamar, Kennidi, Shawndell, Jr., and Zyler; four great-grandchildren, Qourtney, Jolaie, Jordan, Ah’mari; and one great-great-grandson, Raylen who all were an additional source of joy and pride in his life. They all shared many happy and precious moments together. By profession, Earnest was a Professional Chef. He was the Owner and Operator of Big Chef Barbeque that operated alongside his father. He later branched out and opened Big Chef #2 and later the Park Hill Barbeque where he operated for a number of years. Anyone who knew him could say “he was passionate about his work” and loved serving the public with a smile and the public served him with favor and spread the word about how good was his barbeque. He hosted many family events where he would put on a spread “fit for a king.” He truly loved watching and spending quality time with his family as they dined. Earnest was a fun-loving man, who enjoyed life and those he encircled. If he wasn’t cooking or catering, he would travel to visit family and friends. He loved the music of Nat King Cole and in his younger days, he even boxed. He kept up with current events and enjoyed having discussions. He will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known this kind and wonderful man. To know Earnest was to love him. He is preceded in death by his wife, Lois Noble; a son, Everette Noble; his parents, Earnest and Helen Noble; and a sister, Jeanette Noble. Earnest William Noble, Jr. departed this life on September 22, 2018, in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. Those left cherish his memory and mourn his loss include 2 daughters, Roslyn D. Stubblefield and Monica Nobles; 1 son, Shawndell L. (Benobia) Shaw; 1 sister, Carolyn J. Nobles-Amory all of Denver, Colorado; 6 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
