Enoch “Tony” Wilbon was born in Dothan, Alabama on February 14, 1942. He was raised by the late Bee and Nora L. Wilbon. Tony was educated at Shiloh Baptist Church where he completed his primary and secondary education. Upon completion. He went on to attend Carver High School in Dothan, Alabama where he graduated in 1960. Following graduation, Tony decided to serve his country and joined the United States Air Force. While in the Air Force, Tony was stationed at Amarillo AFB, in Texas, Great Falls AFB, in Montana, South Ruslip AFB in England, McGuire AFB, in New Jersey, Danang AFB in Vietnam, and Lowry AFB in Colorado. During his military career, he received many commendation awards including 4 longevity ribbons at NCO Academy along with a graduate ribbon. He served with integrity from 1960-1980. He retired with an honorable discharge with the dignified ranking of TSGT (E-6). While in the military, Tony met and married Casandra Wilbon in Detroit, MI on July 13, 1968. To this union, Sean and Tahasha Wilbon were born. This marriage was later dissolved.
After retiring from active duty in 1980, Tony gained in employment in Saudi Arabia where he trained their military. He then went on to work for the City of Aurora from 1992-2004 as a supervisor.
One pre-ordained day, Tony met a lovely young lady by the name Jennifer Wilbon in Denver, Colorado. On October 12, 2018 they were joined in holy matrimony in Centennial, Colorado. The couple enjoyed many memorable moments together.
Tony’s gained a source of pride and joy with the addition of his grandchildren, Nokia, Raphael, Ayania, Casaun, Caden, Jaida, Adonis, Rhea, Heaven, Kahari, Milan, Jordyn and Amber.
He was a devout member of Souls Harbor Outreach C.O.G.I.C. for several years where he served in several roles. In his free time, he enjoyed volunteering at the Park Hill Lions Club, watching sports; especially the Denver, Broncos, and going fishing. He was good friends with Sherman Gillame who was his right-hand man. Most importantly, Tony enjoyed spending time with his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Bee and Nora L. Wilbon.
Tony passed away into the embrace of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on May 27, 2023. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, JenniferA. Richard-Wilbon; his sons, Barrie Wilbon, Marvin Wilbon, Jason Wilbon, and Sean A. Wilbon; daughter, Tahasha Mikoe Wilbon; a host of grandchildren, step-children, Takoya Gooden and Terell Thompson, nieces, nephews, relatives and close friends.
