Enid Rebecca Marsh was born on July 19, 1970, in Denver, Colorado to her parents, SSgt. Thomas P. Marsh, Jr. and Amy C. Baynes Marsh. She was the third child born in the family. She was raised surrounded by the love of two brothers, John and Gerald. Growing up, Enid was always studious and diligent in pursuing her education. When she was 15 years old, she was able to participate in a Denver Sister City Study Trip to Kenya, Africa. A fond trip rumor was that of an African Prince asking Enid for her hand. Needless to say, she returned to Denver. Enid received her formal education by graduating from Bishop Machebeuf High School. She furthered her education by earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology in 1997, from Howard University in Washington, D.C. She also earned a Medical Preparatory Certificate from Southern Illinois University and a GEME Certificate from St. Louis University in 2000. In 1999, she became a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.; Gamma Kappa Omega Chapter. She continued to serve for many years in the Mu Omega Omega chapter in Aurora, Colorado. She held an office and volunteered on various committees including wellness and finance in pursuit of the sorority's mission. By profession, Enid was a Manager for Cox Communications Wireless in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She was hard working and dedicated. She truly enjoyed working with her coworkers and was known to be a consummate professional. She was able to reunite with friends from Colorado and that made her job that much more exciting. Enid was fun loving woman who enjoyed life and those she encircled. In her free time, she was an avid football fan and her favorite team was the Denver Broncos. She enjoyed friendships with players Rod Smith and Darius Holland, and was fortunate enough to see the Broncos play in Super Bowl XLVIII. Enid loved literature and poetry. She was enamored of the writings of Maya Angelou and fulfilled her dream of meeting the celebrated in person. The loves of Enid's life were her nephew Eli and her niece, Isabel. She went to his first communion and football games and jumped in her jumpy castles. She loved them like they were her own. She also loved spending time with her pet dog, Kogee. Her closest friends, Bernadette Johnson, Kathy Nesbitt, Charlaya Campbell, Belinda Marshall and Shohreh Aftahi will all miss her kindness and willingness to help others and the fact that she was a true and trusted friend. She loved to travel. She was known to leave in a moment's notice, driving almost cross country, just to see family. She has traveled to Puerto Rico, Mexico, Kenya, Barbados, Honduras and many, many places in the United States. Today, Enid is so happy as she looks down on this chapel and able to see so many family and friends in the same place celebrating her life. She will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known this one of kind lady and this Phenomenal Woman. To know Enid was to love her. She is preceded in death by her father, Thomas P. Marsh, Jr. Enid Rebecca Marsh departed this life to the embrace of the Lord on October 8, 2014, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Those left to cherish her memory and mourn her loss include her mother, Amy C. Marsh of Aurora, CO; 2 brothers, John P. (Ana) Marsh of Benicia, California and Gerald B Marsh of Aurora; 1 niece, Isabel R. Marsh of Benicia, California; 1 nephew, Elijah G Marsh of St. Paul, Minnesota; 1 aunt, Cliffone E. Baynes of New York City, New York and a host of cousins other relatives and many friends.
