Ellen Anthony

Ellen Anthony was born to Samuel and Esther Anthony in St. Louis, Missouri in 1939. She was the 4th oldest of 9 children. At an early age Ellen moved to Mississippi where she lived with her brother Floyd for approximately 8 years. She came back to St. Louis and shortly there after moved to Gary in 1956. Ellen was very resourceful when it came to making ends meet for her family Ellen was the proud mother of 6 children: Joan, Sheena, Patrice, Charles, James and Cornell. In 1986 Ellen being the loving mother and person she is moved to Denver, CO. to assist in caring for her son James who had been injured. In her effort to find employment she became a home health aid care person. After that she became a Certified Nursing Assistant and worked at the hospital until retirement. Ellen was a fun and outgoing person who when ever she had the chance she made it to any and all of the Anthony family events. She leaves behind to cherish her memory her 2 siblings Anna and George Anthony; 2 children James and Cornell Williams; 8 grand children Samille and Theresa Robertson, Ikemish and Nekeda Anthony, Jamie, Monqie, Eric Jamal, James Jr; 10 great grandchildren and host of nephews, neices and friends.
