Edward Martin

Edward Dean Martin was born on November 16, 1946 in Portland, OR to, Johnny Lee Martin and Rozelle Hines Martin. He was the fifth of 11 children born. Edward's siblings, Clyde Russell, LaVern Bell, Estella Davis, Rita Peaches, Johnny Lee Martin, Jr, Gail Marie Johnson, Asunte Martin and Tim Martin remember Edward's large heart,that had a special hiding place for all those he loved.

Edward moved to Denver, CO in 1965 he met and married Mildred Stevenson. Edward had a child from a previous relationship; Antonya Ivester who blended into the family with her three siblings born to their union; LaForest Martin, Antionette Spencer and Stacie Colebert.

Edward was a chef by trade and worked for Rossi's and Deno's 6&85 for over 40 years. They will remember him as a dependable and dedicated worker with a lot of endurance.

Eddie was a caring, kind and loving man who loved talking and joking with people. But when he was serious, he meant business. He loved watching old western movies, football, basketball, Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune while waiting to eat dinner. His favorite food to eat was old fashioned glazed doughnuts which most of the time would spoil his appetite before dinner was served.

Eddie loved to work on cars and run to all the junkyards for car parts. He also loved listening to music and sitting in his Toyota eating his chocolate frosty with a big smile, loving life. You could always find him somewhere around the garage admiring the sun and nature.

Edward Dean Martin departed this great life on June 20, 2019, in Denver, CO. He is preceded in death by his parents, one sister and three brothers. Those left to cherish his precious memories include his beloved and dear wife, Mildred Martin of Denver, CO; His children, Antonya (Renault) Ivester, Aurora, CO; Laforest Darnell (Artisha) Martin, Denver, CO; Antionette (David) Spencer, Denver, CO; Stacie (T.C.) Colebert, Parker, CO; his precious mother in law Clara Jean Brown, of Denver, CO; two brothers Clyde Russell of San Antonio, TX; Timothy Martin of Tx, Johnny Lee Martin, Denver, CO; four sisters LaVern Bell, Estella Davis, all of Denver; Rita A Peaches of Muskogee, OK and Gail M. (Franklin) Johnson of Monticello, AR and Asunte Martin of TX; nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
