Dydrick Dwayne Martin was born June 19, 1968 in Denver, CO to William Henry Martin, Sr. and Angalee Tripplett, as the fourth born of four sons. Dydrick passed away on July 31, 2015 at University Hospital in Aurora, CO. Dydrick grew up in Colorado and graduated from Manual High School in Denver, CO and earned his CNA license from Pima Medical School in Aurora, CO. Professionally, Dydrick worked at Aspen Distribution in the Warehouse as a case picker/puller. He was known as a good, hard worker and he will be dearly missed. He also worked at Centerplate, of the Colorado Convention Center in food preparation, and was known for always being a hard worker, and sharing his great smile. His brother William recalls the first time he returned home. He had not seen Dydrick in 15 years, and he was so excited to see him as the free man he was. His brother Charles remembers how much they would joke and laugh together. They were always making each other laugh. His brother Deryl remembers when they lip synced a song by Ku Mo De called "Go See the Doctor" at Manual High School. Several friends say he was the best friend that they ever had. Dydrick had many endearing qualities and loved making people laugh; he had the best sense of humor! He loved the Broncos, loved to dress, and he loved ancient Roman and Greek history. He loved children and many children called him "uncle" or "step-dad." Some of his family's favorite memories include he and his brothers singing and dancing to the music group Parliament Funkadelics; and the love that he had for his mother - she was truly his best friend. Dydrick was preceded in death by his father, William H. Martin, Sr. He is survived by his children: Nia' Imani Martin, TreasurLyn Braziel, Dydrick Martin, Jr., Thaddius Martin, Amir Martin, William Martin, Lemuel Martin, Deonna Martin, and his grand-daughter: Ammera Kirven; and his step-children: London Kendricc and Taylor-Shamar Tarver. He is also survived by his wife: Lucretia Sullivan-Martin. On Dydrick's mother's side of the family: his mother, Angalee (Angela) Tripplett; and his siblings: William H. Martin, Jr., Charles Martin and his wife, Mary; and Deryl (Darrell) Martin and his wife, Dawn; his 2nd mom, Clara Wakefield, along with his extended brothers: Jhan Wakefield, Dwayne Wakefield, Joseph Wakefield and Julian Wakefield; his aunts: Lela Curry, Flossie Macon, Margaret Moore and Leslie Peterson; his uncles: Aaron Tripplett, Grady Tripplett, Willie Lee Tripplett, Willie James Tripplett, Jessie Tripplett, Fred Tripplett and Sylvester Tripplett. On Dydrick's father's side of the family: his father, William H. Martin, Sr.; his aunts: Earnese Shabazz and Berdester Coates; his uncles: Jewel Martin and Sylester Martin; with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and best friends.
