April 21, 1964 — January 3, 2016

Dwayne Richard Campbell was born on April 21, 1964, in Denver, Colorado to his parents, Willie Campbell, Jr. and Florence E. McGregor-Marshall. He was the first child born to this union, and was the older brother of Robert Thompson. His family and friends called him, "Slick." From his youth, Slick was about becoming a business man. "Dreamed Out Loud In Action" As a teenager, Slick and his friends developed a pact to call themselves, "The Cool Patrol." With this pact, The Cool Patrol had to be respectful in school, in sports, and active in the community. While attending Montbello High School in Denver, Colorado, he would strive to always do his best and by his actions, sway others to take pride in what they did. Slick graduated in 1982. He then enlisted in the United States Marine Corp in 1983. During his prior marriages, three beautiful children were born Damale, Dante and Darius. The family loved being close and spending time together. His children remember him as a motivator, caring, and vibrant. In 1996, Slick met Vanessa Lovelace in Denver, Colorado. In 2009, after 19 years of friendship, the two would finally marry on September 1, 2015, in Denver, Colorado. Vanessa remembers their serious talks about building a catering company. Slick was a hardworking man. Working for the Denver Police Department for a short time, his entrepreneur spirit took over; he was truly a professional entrepreneur. He owned Campbell's Transport Trucking Company, and was the CEO of Hot Mamma's Kitchen, a catering company. With a never quit attitude and a mindset of, "If there's a will, there's a way," Slick excelled. He was the Positive Officer for the Masons Rocky Mountain Lodge #1.
