Dwayne Earl Jeremy Banks, Sr. was born on June 1, 1982, in Denver, Colorado to his parents, Robin Banks and Dwayne Fusilier. He was the second child born in the family. He was raised surrounded by his brothers, Tyree, Jeurray, Jevaun and his sisters, LaDonna, Drielle, and Christy, who joined the family by marriage. As a child, Dwayne was close to his mom. He was a very handsome baby and was very smart. He received his formal education in Denver where he attended Smiley Middle School and he graduated from George Washington High School in 1996. In 1999, Dwayne met Antasha Jackson in Denver in a movie theatre. To this union, two children, Dwayne Jr. and Aa'riyana were born. He was a loving and devoted father who truly enjoyed the time shared with his children. He later met Samara Kellem and they too enjoyed the special and memorable moment shared together. Dwayne was the CEO of Spic and Span Cleaners located in Denver. He truly enjoyed the fact that he was his own boss. He is remembered as being hard-working, dedicated and performing his duties with a spirit of excellence. Dwayne was a fun-loving young man, who enjoyed life and those he encircled. Although Dwayne was surrounded by the negative influences of gangs, he managed to focus his energy in positive ways by devoting his time to his children, two nieces, Lavaeh and Rojah, his bully breed dogs, and his business. In his free time, he enjoyed cooking and helping out his grandpa and nana around the house. His closest friends were his brothers. He also shared a special closeness with Dax Wright, Corey Putney and Sam Cobb. They too will miss the camaraderie they all shared together and the fact that he was a true and trusted friend. He will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known this kind and wonderful man. To know Dwayne was to love him. Dwayne Earl Jeremy Banks, Sr. departed this life on September 1, 2015, in Denver, Colorado. Those left to cherish his memory and mourn his loss include his mother and step father, Robin G. Banks-Simmons and Gary Simmons; his father, Dwayne E. Fusilier; his devoted companion, Samara Kellem all of Denver; his son, Dwayne E. Banks, Jr.; his daughter, Aa'riyona S. Banks both of Dallas, Texas; 3 brothers, Jeurray L. (Hope) Ivory, Jevaun L. (Lisa) Ivory all of Aurora, CO and Tyree D. Banks of Denver; 3 sisters, LaDonna M. Banks, Christy L. Ivory and Drielle Fusilier all of Denver; his grandparents, Earl G. and Donna Banks both of Denver and Ann King of Aurora and host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins other relatives and many friends.
