Donna Latrice Walker was born on June 5, 1974, in Stuttgart, Arkansas to her mother, Dannell Walker. She was raised by her stepfather, George Clifford Billings, Sr. She was blessed to have a sister, Deirdre T. and a brother, George, Jr. She was a happy child, who enjoyed the happy and precious moments shared with her siblings. Donna received her formal education in Stuttgart, Arkansas where she graduated from Stuttgart High School in 1992. She furthered her education by attending the University of Central Arkansas in 1993 and in 2005, Parks College in Colorado completing courses as a Medical Specialist. By profession, Donna was employed by the Veteran's Administration Hospital in Denver, Colorado as a Credential Specialist. She is remembered as being hard-working, dedicated and performing her assigned duties with a spirit of excellence. She was a member of Federally Employed Women (FEW) serving as Vice President. In her free time, Donna enjoyed reading, playing games on her iPhone, listening to music, and sharing with family and friends. She is also remembered for having a friendly card game or a romping round of dominoes for any contenders. She was friendly by nature and loved having a good time. Her closest friends, Gaye Freeman and Grenetta Yolden have been bff's since meeting in Lane Bryant in 2004, while working together. They all believed that their meeting was ordained by God. They shared many happy and precious moments together. Donna was a fun-loving lady, who will be remembered as having as smile that would light any room she entered, being a loving and caring person, and one who made those who surrounded her feel must better having spent time in her presence. She will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known this Queen of a Woman. To know Donna was to love her. She is preceded in death by her father, Stanley C. Garrison; her stepfather, George C. Billings, Sr.; grandmother, Mary Nell Owens; great grandmother, Betty Walker; and Uncle Joe Joe. Donna Latrice Walker departed this life to the embrace of the Lord on December 19, 2015, in Denver, Colorado. Those left to cherish her memory and mourn her loss include her mother, Dannell (Simon, III) Phillips of Denver, CO; her siblings, George (Raven) Billings, Jr. of Aurora, CO, Deidre T. (Jeremy) Simmons of Fayetteville, NC; Dwayne S. Garrison of Cleveland, OH and Tamara A. Garrison of Phoenix, AZ; her devoted companion, Robert H. Kemp of Denver, CO; her grandparents, Alma Cox of Milwaukee, WI, Joe W. Parrish and Willie M. Parrish both of Thornton, CO; her extended family includes, Nina M. Phillips, Terrance L. Phillips, Jessica L. Phillips, Kevin D. Phillips, Simon A. Phillips, IV and Corey T. Phillips; she is also survived by two uncles, Rodney Owens and Kerry Owens; who were more like her big brothers, and a host of other aunts and uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many friends.
