Donald Neal Ward Jr. passed away on December 22, 2016 peacefully in his sleep. Donald was born in Lubbock, Texas on January 26, 1971 to his parents, Donald Neal Ward Sr. and Beverly Kay Ward. He attended Montbello High School in Denver, CO and Sylmar High School in Sylmar, CA, but received his High School Diploma from McCain on March 13, 2015. One of his proudest moments. Growing up, he had a passion for football. He played Linebacker in High School and received many awards, but his greatest accomplishment in life was his children. There is no greater love, than the love he had for his children. Donald was a strong, intelligent, caring and God-fearing man. He lived life the best way he knew how. He was never afraid of hard labor or doing what was needed to help provide for his family or others in need of his service. No matter what obstacles he had in life, he always put family first and could always be counted on in a time of need. He would do anything for his family, no matter how big the task and nev¬er complain. In these recent years Donald was smaller in stature then he was in his teen years, but he had the strength and endurance of 10 men. He was a quiet soul that enjoyed being outside and playing his Conga drums. Playing the drums was a way for him to express himself musically. Donald shared very little, but when he did you could feel every bit of the emotion and when he loved someone he loved with every inch of his soul and being Donald is preceded in death by his grandparents, Wyatt(Dovie) Ward, Annie O. Ward and Bobbie J. Cooks. Donald is survived by his three children, K-Lynn, Elijah and Destiny, his parents Donald and Beverly Ward, his sister Tina Ward, his brother Jerome Ward, his niece Brittany Ward and his nephew Daniel Ward , as well as his longtime friend and confidant Shari McClaran .
