Doit Love

Doit Dean Love AKA David Leon Walker-Stoker was born on November 22, 1960, from the love of Barbara Ann Walker and Larry Stoker. He was the second born, and only son of four children. Later, he changed his name to "Doit Deon Love" and went by "Deon." His friends knew him best as “Tiny”. Growing up, he was a protector and provider for his sisters and family. He always made sure they had whatever they needed.

Deon was educated in Denver Public Schools and later went on and further his education in the Job Corps earning an Associate Degree in Accounting and Industrial Services.

He met the love of his life and soulmate, Erica Brogan, in Denver, Colorado. On October 22, 2008, the two were married in Denver, Colorado. Together, they parented a blended family of 4 children, Andrea, Jauan, Christopher, and Samantha. Deon always credited Erica for showing him how to love, and he bragged about her cooking. He loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren, who affectionately called him, “Poppie” and “Grandpa Love”. Through it all, he was a loving and caring husband, father and grandfather. Always given his all to his grandchildren!

He turned his life around in June 2013 and gave his life to God. He was baptized alongside his wife at Ray of Hope Ministry at Eisenhower Chapel in Denver, Colorado.

If you knew Deon, then you know he lived his life as a real down to earth person and was a straight up hustler. He was old school and enjoyed barbeques, playing cards, dominoes, family functions, and just talking with his family and friends. He was so much fun to be around. His love and loyalty were steadfast. His loving and caring heart was irreplaceable. Deon touched a lot of people’s life and will never be forgotten easily!

Deon was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Barbara Ann Walker and Larry Stoker; his grandparents, Aaron and Doris Walker, Sr. and beloved mother in law, Rita Faye Lipscomb.

On March 11, 2019, Diot Deon Love was embraced into heaven where he is now in the presence of the Lord. He leaves his loving memory to be cherished by his wife, Erica Love; four children, Andrea Denning, Jauan Brogan, Christopher (Yanika) Carter, and Samantha Carter, all of Denver; 13 grandchildren, Douglas, Dion’Dri, Dre’Aon, Jaleel, Samiya, Rashad, Kacion, Jahzara, Aaron, Terelle, Cadence, all of Denver, Da’Jon, Paradize both of Grand Junction; three sisters, Deborah Toliver, Lakewood, Pamela Cosby, Denver, and Robin Joyce, Toledo, OH; and his best friend, Michael Sanchez; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Deon will be missed by all who loved him and were blessed to know him!
