Diego DeJesus Alvarez Garcia was born on December 12, 1999, in Mexico, to his parents, Victor Manuel Alvarez Lopez and Adriana D. Garcia Mendoza. Diego was raised with his brother, Adrian; sisters, Maria "Victoria", and Yoselin. At a very young age, his family recalls Diego having so much passion and pride for the things he loved most, expressing his love by saying things like, "My mom! My car! My house! My pillow!" As a young child, Diego loved to take showers, and would do so rather frequently. He didn't really like to wear clothes; he said they were too hot. Being an adventurous and fearless youngster, Diego would climb the highest trees and on top of houses, without ever giving it a second thought, yelling out, "I am the tallest!" He would draw pictures for his mother. He even told her, "When I get older, I am going to build you a house!" More often than not, Diego would exceed the expectations that were set for him. When Diego entered the second grade, he was given the task of planting some cabbage and watermelon seeds. The plants grew at an exponential rate. He would share the harvest with all his family and friends. This was when Diego learned of his green thumb. Diego attended Alta Vista Elementary in Haines City, Florida, North Middle, Hinkley and Aurora Central High Schools in the Aurora Public Schools District. He excelled in Arts and Crafts, because of his artist mind. As he grew older, he discovered the "WWE!" His favorite fighter was none other than, John Cena, of course. Diego would mirror every move John Cena made, even his hair cut. Diego always ask his barber for the same haircut every week! He also had a picture of John Cena on his phone. Diego was full of fire and passion. He never wanted to be or do something ordinary, but he would rather be one of the elite extraordinary. He was destined to be someone great, which is what he always wanted to be. He would tell his family that he wanted to join the SWAT team or to become a famous Rapper. He would write down his lyrics and eventually transform them into a song, which he would then keep on his cell phone or post them to the iCloud. His sister, Victoria, had mentioned that she had a desire to join the military. They made an agreement that she would go first and then he would follow in her footsteps shortly thereafter. Diego liked to explore new things such as cooking! He would try to imitate his mother cooking. His favorite dish of all was macaroni and cheese, of course! Diego enjoyed most foods, except for avocados. Any foods that he didn't particularly care for or eat, he would share with his favorite companion, King, the family dog. After a good meal, Diego would get back to his favorite past time, video games! It was either his videos games or spending time with his best friends, Nestor and Junior. In just about every picture of Diego, from the time he was a toddler, to his most recent, would be of him holding cash, gradually progressing in dollar amount every year. As a teenager, Diego was always making sure that his appearance was up to par. "He loved to look good." Although Diego always looked like a tough guy, he always had a soft spot for his family and friends. His demeanor was very kind and sweet, especially when it came to his mother, Adriana, or as he would lovingly call her, "Ama". She would come home from to work to find that Diego had cleaned the house and prepared food for her. To say the least, their relationship was like that protective love a son has for his mother; he made that very clear in everything that he did for her. Diego in all, was the best son, brother, and friend you could ask for. He always strived to make everyone's day just a little bit better. Although Diego is not here with us any more, we should always remember him for his true love and amazing kindness. "Our Diego, our "Cookie Monster." He will always be just one smile away! God needed one of His best angels He had on earth, and that is why He took him. Today, Diego is living with God in his beautiful white robe and his well-deserved crown. He is in a much better place; the one that he deserves." Diego DeJesus Alvarez Garcia departed this life on June 7, 2017 in Denver, Colorado.
