Derreak McClain, 58, of Denver, Colorado, died Friday, March 24, 2022. An open house in honor of Derreak’s life will be held on Saturday, April 21st at 19441 E Navarro Ave, Denver, CO 80013 beginning at 4pm with the family in attendance.
Derreak McClain was born in Denver, CO on June 12, 1963, to Harold McClain Sr and Betty Jean Davis. Derreak grew up in Denver and attended Manual High School.
Derreak had a love of music and would always have the latest albums of his favorite artist which were many.
Additionally, Derreak had a flair for the artistic and often showered his family with gifts made by hand, specifically with them in mind.
Derreak was fiercely loyal to those he loved, and highly protective of his family and friends. If he loved you, he had your back no questions asked, and you knew you could count on him.
Grateful for having shared Derreak’s life are his mother, Betty Jean Davis, Denver, CO; his brother, Brian (Stacy) Thompson, Oldsmar, FL; his sister, Michelle (Maceo) Lewis-Robinson, Denver, CO; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Derreak was preceded in death by his father, Harold McClain Sr; grandmother, Jessie B Davis; Uncle Michael Ray Harvey, and nephew Ethan Thompson.
