Dennis Kerwin Harris was born on May 3, 1960, in Clarendon Arkansas, to his parents, Aster O'Kain and O.T. Harris. He was surrounded with lots of family members, and enjoyed the long and hot summer days. As child, he enjoyed playing games with family, watching TV, and spending time with his best friend, who was his Uncle Bruce. Dennis attended Carver Elementary School in Clarendon, Arkansas, and later relocated to Denver, Colorado, where he attended George Washington High School. He later received his GED from Emily Griffith Opportunity School. Dennis was a hard working young man with strong values and work ethics. He was the proud father of his son, and only child, Kerwin Harris. Kerwin loved his father with all of his heart, and cherishes every moment and experience they shared. His work ethics earned him recognition throughout his years of employment; such as the Employee of the month award at Denver Athletic Club, Employee of the year Award at Kacey Fine Furniture, and a certificated for being a reliable, hardworking, and highly motivated employee. Dennis was also employed with United Parcel Service, Platte River Industries, Coca Cola, Wonder Bread., and at the Denver Convention Center, where he provided on call assistance for freight loading and unloading. His hobbies included chess, listening to music, and watching sports; but his bikes and cycling were truly his passion. He was closest to his mother and would faithfully call her every morning to check on her, talk about the previous day's sports, and just talk about life in general. In his later life his mom was truly his best friend. Dennis's friends would say that he lived a private and uncomplicated life. Dennis will be missed by all who were privileged enough to have known him. He leaves behind a beautiful smile, and many imprints in our hearts. He is preceded in death by his father, O.T. Harris; and his sister, Debbie O'Kain. Dennis Kerwin Harris ended this life's journey on October 2, 2014, in Denver, Colorado.
