Deborah Ezidinma

April 15, 1946 — March 5, 2019

Deborah Ezidinma, a mother of four and retired registered nurse, died on Tuesday, March 5, 2019 after a brief illness, at the Medical Center of Aurora, in Aurora, Colorado.

The oldest of five children, Deborah was born on April 15, 1946, to Felix and Ednah Izuogu. Born and raised in Moroa River, Nassarawa State, Nigeria, she attended St. Patrick Elementary School and graduated from St. Peters High School. After graduating from high school, she moved to New York and married Sunday Ezidinma at the Metropolitan Church in New York and relocated to Denver, CO to raise their family. She completed college and her nursing degree at the Metropolitan State University of Denver. Deborah enjoyed helping those in need and was well respected in her field as a committed registered nurse whose service spanned over three decades.

Deborah was a devoted mother to her four children, their spouses and her five grandchildren. She had a zest for life and was supportive, caring, and very funny. She found enjoyment in cooking, sewing, spending time with her grandkids and conversing with family and friends. Deborah was involved in many organizations over the years, including the Umuobiala Development Union, Kaduna Branch, Isuikwuato Association, Kaduna Branch, and Igbo Community in Colorado (ICC), where her passion was to shine as a dedicated member.

Deborah will be remembered for her beautiful smile, her kindness, a contagious positive spirit, wittiness, courage, strength, intellect, and for her pleasantness in the face of adversity.

Deborah is survived by her husband, Sunday Ezidinma; her daughters, Drs. Joy Nkechi, Ndidi, and Phoebe Afoma, and her son, Victor Chima. She also left five grandchildren: Alexis, Preston, Marshall, Aidan, and Adeline; two sons-in-law, Brian Yaucher, and Martin Linck, as well as her two brothers: Israel, and Joseph; a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members; and many friends.

Visitation will take place at the Pipkin Braswell Funerals and Cremation Service, 6601 E. Colfax Avenue, Denver from 10 to noon on Saturday, May 25th followed by the funeral service at noon and a reception from 2 to 4pm.
