David Hamm

David Glenn Hamm was born August 11, 1966 to his parents, Johnny Hamm and Grace Sanders in Denver, Colorado. David was the youngest of 10 children. He spent his entire life in Denver. He attended Aurora Central High School where he excelled at track. On April 25, 1989, he married Deborah "DeDe" Mills whom he met in high school. They had 3 children, Erica, Jessica, and Derrick. During the children's younger years, he enjoyed coaching their basketball teams. He always loved playing games with the girls and their friends. He had a great sense of humor. He was a big kid at heart and a father figure to many. He touch some many, he was kind hearted and enjoyed sharing his love of music with whoever came over. In his free time, he loved watching movies especially, "The Ten Commandments," "Flintstones," and "Andy Griffith," just to name a few. He loved watching sports, especially his Denver Broncos. David was a "Mama's boy," he always took time to ensure that his mom was cared for. He enjoyed taking her to yard sales and shopping. David was preceded in death by his son, Derrick Hamm; his father, Johnny Hamm; stepfather, Jay Betts; sisters; Sandra Hamm, and Ruthie Hamm. David Glenn Hamm departed this life on February 22, 2016 in Aurora Colorado. He leaves behind his wife, Deborah "DeDe" Hamm; his daughters, Erica Hamm, Jessica Hamm; his mother, Grace Betts; his sisters, Johnnie Hamm, Eddie Butler, Joyce Stewart; his brothers, Samuel Hamm, Leotus Hamm, Timothy Hamm, and Joseph Hamm and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
