David Mccormick

David F. McCormick was born on October 21, 1960 in New York. David was raised with his sister Caroline and was the youngest in the family. As a child, David enjoyed playing in the junk yard. What many thought of as waste, David looked at as a treasure. His family recalls how active David was and how he enjoyed running around from place to place.

David was educated in Ocean, New Jersey. He attended and later graduated from Ilan High School in 1978. Following high school, David completed additional courses and earned certification in welding. David worked for many years as a mechanic, and later in home healthcare. David worked hard and always did so with a spirit of excellence.

David met and married Cheri Wilson, to this union, Robert was born. This marriage was later dissolved. He later met a lovely lady named Jennifer Bussey, the couple stayed together until David’s passing. David and Jennifer’s bond was inevitable, at one point David became her caretaker which further strengthened their bond. Regardless of what they did together, they always enjoyed each other’s company.

In his free time, David enjoyed hanging out with friends, Julie, Crystal, Audra and Robert. David was always willing to offer a helping hand. He often helped others with car repairs, and they always knew that if their car broke down, he was always going to be there to help them. David truly believed in taking the shirt off his back to help others, and he instilled this in others. He will truly be missed.

David passed away peacefully on August 9, 2022. Those left to cherish his memories include his spouse, Jennifer Bussey; sons, Robert and David McCormick Jr.; daughter, mother-in-law, Virginia Bussey; sister-in-law’s, Michale (Steven) and Becky, and several friends.

In honor of David, a Memorial Service will be held, Thursday, September 1, 2022, 4PM, Pipkin Braswell Chapel of Peace (6601 East Colfax Avenue, Denver, CO 80220).
