Darnel Morrow

Darnel Charles Morrow, age 65, passed away on Tuesday April 9, 2019 at his place of residence.

He was born November 18, 1953 in Denver, Colorado, to Commodo Brady Morrow and Gwendolyn Elizabeth Rowlette Morrow. First and foremost Darnel loved the Lord Jesus Christ and was vocal about his love for the Savior. He often told and encouraged others of Christ’s love and power.

He attended East High School where he enjoyed participating in the sport of wrestling and where he went on to graduate with his High School Diploma.

Darnel’s first job out of school was with the Denver Water Department as a plumbers apprentice, he had to test for that job as he was very intelligent. As a young adult Darnel was diagnosed with a mental illness and was unable to hold corporate type employment, but yet his work ethic was impeccable. He loved to work; he washed airplanes by hand, he unloaded 18 wheeler trailers by hand he could be found in the Denver community doing all types of odd jobs.

Later in life, Darnel was united in marriage to Carol Morrow to which no children were born. He lived his life the best he could although life was hard for him. Even living with his illness, Darnel was a great uncle. He enjoyed spending time with his nephew Sean Ty and niece LaGwenna when they were younger. He would take them to the coffee shop he frequented and spoil them with treats. He was loved by all his family.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Commodore B. Morrow and Gwendolyn E. Rowlette Morrow; sister, Evelyn Joyce Morrow Conner, brother, Larry Morrow.

Darnel is survived by his ex-wife Carol Morrow, brothers: Bartel Broussard, Jonathan Burley, Anthony Morrow, Ronald Morrow, Rodney Morrow, sister Ada Morrow Smith, nephews, nieces, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, and a host of cousins and friends.
