Darlene Triplett

November 4, 1934 — February 6, 2019

On November 4, 1934, Darlene Taylor was delivered into the loving arms of her parents Charles B. Taylor and Melvina Johnson in Colorado City, Texas. Darlene was raised and educated in Texas.

Darlene moved to Denver in the 1960s. In the early 70's Darlene met the love of her life, Samuel Triplett. They married on August 24, 1973. They were extremely happy enjoying their life together until Samuel's death in 1996.

Darlene had four children, twins, Bonnell and Janell, Billy Ray and Shirley Taylor. She was a woman of faith who worked hard to take care of her family. She stepped up to raise three of her grandchildren when her daughter Bonnell was unable to care for them. Family was her priority and she enjoyed four generations of children who were the light of her life.

Darlene was trained as a Health Care Worker and for over 10 years she operated a home healthcare facility. She cared for people who were unable to live independently. Additionally, she loved children and worked for Denver Public Schools Transportation Department, as a Bus Aid. Darlene retired from DPS Transportation after 18 years of service.

God, family and friends where the center of her life. She was an active member of King Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Alvin Gay, for many years. She later joined Central Baptist Church, under the leadership of Rev. Rodney Perry. She enjoyed being with her friends and family. She often cooked on Sundays and spent time with her grandchildren. Her sense of humor was delightful. She loved to have fun, talk on the phone, and go to the Dog Races (from time to time). Darlene was a kind; generous and loving woman of God and she will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known her.

Darlene was preceded in death by her four children, Bonnell, Janell, Billy Ray and Shirley Taylor, and her beloved husband, Samuel Triplett.

Left to cherish her memory is her grandchildren; Tyrone, Freddie, and Kim Polk, Beyonka, Baqi, and Ivanna Taylor, Ronnie and Netta Allen, 13 great grandchildren and 4 great-great grandchildren, devoted friends Louise Kelley and Clydene Smith, a host of other relatives and loyal friends.

I come to you lost and confused, I'm doing the best I can to live right. Because I'm too scared to lose. The world is in despair, Father Our children don't understand. There's a war going on was this part of your plan? People claim they believe in you. Yet put there, Faith in man you said believe in you. And the Kingdom would be at hand, blind Faith means believing in something more real than things you can see, or touch with your hand. I listen to people talk Father listen long enough and their God will unfold. They speak about their desires and riches untold, Father, I know you called my Grandmother home because her job here was done. You let her see five generations of her bloodline. If you ask me, I'd say she won. It was a tight fight at first Father, But the devil is a lie. He used our desires to make us feel good, and things that bring a sparkle to the eye. But because of the strong Taylor bloodline we made it through the storm, before you let our "Shining Star" die, Lord. We are far from perfect, we save that title for you. So, I got to Thank You Father, for seeing my Family though all of us have our own Families now, Father and all of us are standing strong. We just had to go through somethings. So, we can learn somethings. Now our struggles never last that long. An everything we are

came from a loving God, and our "Shining Star" So from this day forth. When we look and She's not there or when it feels like the world is on our shoulders, and nothing seems fair. When temptation is strong, and your strength seems to fade. Just look for that "Shining Star" in the sky and remember

You're "Taylor Made"

AMEN
