Daniel Lee Hezekiah Rhine was called home to be with our Heavenly Father on July 21st, 2020, in his hometown of Denver, CO. Born on July 30th, 1988, Daniel was a precocious and imaginative child. Known to most as a quiet and thoughtful soul; when amongst a trio of brothers and dearest friends, he found great joy in being a rambunctious and mischievously good-natured boy.
Daniel attended Baker Middle School, and West High School, where he nurtured his love for science, history, and the dramatic arts, and found many lifelong friends in the COSMOS summer program. Daniel attended Metropolitan State University where he graduated with a BA in History.
Daniel found satisfaction in his adult life apprenticing as a cobbler with his father at Rhine’s Shoe & Boot Repair, and driving commercially for Cintas and Clean Harbors.
Daniel enjoyed the Italian Opera, gaming, and the Raiders; all the while imparting us with his wry sense of humor.
Daniel grew up attending Congregation Roeh Israel, where he was baptized, became a son of the Commandments in his Bar Mitzvah b’ Yeshua, and was written into the Lamb’s Book of Life.
Daniel is preceded in departure by his maternal grandparents, William Russell Compton, and Bernice Hall-DeFelice; his paternal grandparents Joe Rhine & Katherine McElroy-Rhine.
Daniel is survived by his father, Tommy Joe Rhine Sr.; his mother, Deborah Compton; his sister, Tiffany Henderson; his brothers, Gregory Lee Vaughan and Tommy Joe Rhine Jr.; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
