Born in: Denver, Colorado
Resided in: Oklahoma City, Oklahoma
Dandy Glakron Johnson was born on August 1, 1877, in Denver, Colorado to his parents, Donald Wayne Johnson and caroline Ruth Jackson. He was the first born in the family. When Danny was only a few weeks old, he
relocated to Liberia to live with his mommy Toasy and her family. For the next twelve years, he lived and started his early education. The family shared many happy and memorable moments together.
Once relocating back to Colorado, he attended Eaglecrest High School in Aurora, Colorado Douglas High School in Oklahoma City. He received his high school diploma. He later attended Will Rogers Flight School in Oklahoma, City.
Dandy was the proud father of 3 beautiful children, a daughter, Alaynah and sons, Devaughn and Duwayne. A fond memory for Devaughn was a visit with him as he was showing him a beautiful treehouse in neighborhood a “unhoused” neighbor came running out with a hockey stick, attempting to chase them. Alaynah remembers the visit to Bandimere Speedway to go to dirt bike riding during the summer. His younger child, Duwayne, 2 years of age, enjoyed riding around with him in his truck, setting on his motorbike and attending race car shows with him. He was also blessed with a grandson, Jakobe. He lovingly called him “Papa” and he enjoyed watching him work on cars and riding his bike. Danny so enjoyed watching Kobe’s beautiful smile.
Dandy was employed in Security, Sales, and Mobile Detailing. He was a self-directed young man, who was able to work for others and as well as being an entrepreneur himself.
Dandy was a fun-loving man, who enjoyed life and those he encircled. In his free time, he enjoyed dirt bike riding, muscle cars, motorcycles, watching movies, going to the beach, and traveling. He loved to eat candy and his favorite foods, cassava leaf & rice, bbq chicken, hot pepper soup and plantain. He loved having money in his pocket, the single life, fast cars, and a flashy style about himself.
His closest friends, Dean Loper, Steve Durant, Kenny Dean, Tarvis Dean, will miss his ability to make friends easy, his laughter, and how he could easily make a deal. He was a man who will not be replaced because he blessed so many people. He will never be forgotten. To know Danny was to love him.
