Cynthia Ann Wedgeworth was born on December 24, 1962 in Denver, Colorado to her parents, Theodore Gutierrez and Roberta "Bobbi" Graham Gutierrez. She was raised and adored by her stepfather, Eugene Carter and her dedicated mother, Roberta. Cynthia shared many memorable moments with her siblings, Corey, Ted, Angela, Candice, and Melissa. The family lovingly nicknamed her, Cindy. While her grandfather would call her "Weta," because when she was born, she had beautiful red hair. Cindy was fearless and would express her opinion and defend it whether it was popular or not. She was a very loyal and loving person to many. Cindy would make it known as a child that it was unfair to be born on Christmas Eve because everyone would receive presents on her birthday. Cindy loved her cats and dogs, and as an adolescent, she had a pet snake. One of the most memorable childhood recollections was the time when her sister Angie would threaten her with a wire hanger if Cindy crossed the boundary line in the room they shared. Cindy loved her sisters and brothers and looked after them like their mother would, she would often comb her sister Melissa's hair, as they had special talks together. Cindy attended Manual High School in Denver Colorado, and furthered her education at Red Rocks Community College graduating with an Early Childhood Education Degree. Cindy utilized her degree at the Child Opportunity Program, where she was a teacher's aide for children with special needs. Cindy had a big heart for children and families. On February 14, 1983, Cindy became one with the man of her dreams, Victor Wedgeworth. Cindy was a devoted wife to Victor for 31 years. Through this loving union, they became the proud parents of three beautiful children, whom were her pride and joy, Lamond, Lavon and LaTara. Cindy also had a very special loving bond with her chosen daughter, Leondra. Cindy intensely believed in strong family values and taught her children to love and treat people how you want to be treated. She was very protective of her children and grandchildren. Cindy accepted the responsibility of being mom to so many in the family and many of her children's friends. Cindy believed and held the Lord close in her heart. Cindy was an avid Denver Bronco and Denver Nuggets fan; she loved wearing her jerseys. Cindy was very compassionate and independent. She was a good listener always ready to provide necessary advice. Cindy often took the initiative to gather the family together just to have everyone in her presence, or for birthday parties, or even Bar-B-Q's. Cindy's house was known as home for many, she would give the shirt off her back to a person in need. She just always wanted to make sure everyone was alright. It never failed, when having family over everyone looked forward to Cindy's AMAZING potato salad! Gone But Never Forgotten… Cindy had many hobbies that included collecting and sharing music, spending time with her family, reading, scrapbooking, putting together puzzles, and she also had a few different collections of shot glasses, bobble head characters, lighters and sports memorabilia to name a few. Everyone that knew Cindy, knew what time it was when she asked, "Do you have a blunt wrap?" "She enjoyed climbing high in the trees! Cindy's favorite time of the day was 4:20.... Truly, it was never a sad or boring moment in Cindy's presence. We all know she is looking down on us and would want us all to be happy and understand she is on a new assignment. Cindy is free from all illness and pain. She will be deeply missed and always remembered by all of the good memories."
