Cubie Ray Kollock was born on January 26, 1946, in Cheraw, South Carolina to his parents, Walter B. Kollock and Catherine Tillman Kollock-Jones. Cubie grew up in a God fearing and loving family where he was the “Star.” He was educated in the Cheraw Public School System and attended Robert Sonall Elementary School, later graduating from Long High, in 1964. After moving to Denver, Colorado, he became employed with the Samsonite Corporation; he completed 33 years of faithful service, and in 1989, he retired. Being a Man of Faith, Cubie attended True Faith Church of God In Christ, where he served in many capacities. He served on the usher board, trustee board and eventually becoming a faithful deacon. His Pastor, Elder Jermaine Martin recalls how helpful and dedicated he was to his church.
