Corin Chavez

Corin Patrick Chavez was born on April 3, 1992, in Denver, Colorado to his parents, Christopher Paul Chavez, Sr. and Fonda Dannielle Holloway Chavez. He was the second child born in the family. He was raised surrounded by his brother, Christopher, Jr. and his sister, Cree. As a child, Corin was very active and busy. He was always on the move. When he was only eight months old, he already had teeth which meant he could chew food and anything else he put in his mouth. Corin received his formal education in Denver where he attended the Denver School of the Arts. While in school, Corin was active in baseball and earned a number of awards for his excellence in sports. He furthered his education by attending the University of Northern Colorado in Greeley. Corin was an aspiring actor. He was a Co-Founder and CEO of the Black Actors Guild in Colorado. His talent was noted at a very young age when he would become memorized watching television programs and live performances. You could see through his vivid portrayals, he was destined for greatness. Many of his early teachers often commented on his developing ability and encouraged him to pursue his acting career. He received the Mayors Award, Directors Award, he was noted in the Westword Magazine as Best of 2015 and most recently, he was part of a Colorado Lottery Commercial. Corin was a fun loving young man, who loved life and those he encircled. In his free time, he enjoyed playing basketball, playing video games, writing scripts, and performing zombie shows. He was the epitome of a great person. He was a mentor to many young people and wanted them to understand that they could achieve anything they wanted; if they just believed. Corin will not only be missed by his family but by the many lives he touched along the path of his life. To know Corin was to love him. Corin Patrick Chavez departed this life to the embrace of the Lord on October 8, 2015, in Denver, Colorado. Those left to cherish his memory and mourn his loss include his parents, Christopher P. Chavez, Sr. and Fonda D. Chavez both of Denver; his brother, Christopher P. (Jezabel) Chavez, Jr. both of Houston, Texas; his sister, Cree D. Chavez of Denver; his grandfather, Orville D. Copeland of Denver and a host of other relatives and many friends.
