To this union, four children were born, Darico, Tanisha, Nichole, and Calvin, Jr. The family was tight-knit and enjoyed being together. The children remember all of the get-to-gathers and how Colene loved to have them come over to the house for any occasion. Colene always made a point to never miss a birthday. From her kids and their spouses to each grandchild, she always made a phone call or had a gift ready to celebrate another year. Colene and Calvin were blessed with 18 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren. The grandchildren so lovingly called Colene, "Granny."
