Clifton DeShawn William was born on August 7, 1976 in Washington D.C. to his parents, Dorothy Ross and Robert Williams. He was raised with his brothers, Calvin Thomas and Townsend Ross. As a child he loved spending time at his grandmother’s house and had a very close relationship with her. Clifton was educated in the Washington, D.C. school system where he attended Roosevelt High School. At Roosevelt, he established a sound blueprint that would help him for many years to come.
Clifton met a young lady by the name of Sharnetta, while living in Washington D.C., the couple later moved to Denver, Colorado where they were joined in holy matrimony on June 12, 2002. They shared many memories together.
After high school, Clifton began his career working as a warehouse associate. He always performed his duties with a spirit of excellence and went into work daily with a positive attitude.
Aside from his profession, Clifton embraced life, spending time outdoors and nurturing his house plants. His love for music filled his home and heart, and truly brought him solace. He enjoyed driving around the city cherishing the open road and the beauty surrounding him. In addition, he created countless life long memories with his friend, Lavell Spencer.
Those who knew him best describe him as outgoing, thoughtful, and comical. There was never a dull moment when hanging with Clifton. Amongst his proudest accomplishment was becoming a grandfather to, Kaden, Noah, Michael, Golden, and Alaya. He spent quality time with them and did his best to spoil them. He was loved by all who knew him and will truly be missed.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Dorothy Ross and Robert Williams and granddaughter, Alaya.
He is survived by his wife, Sharnetta; his daughters, Brittany and Asia Copeland; his stepfather, Dennis Ross; his father-in-law, Robert Copeland; his brothers, Towsend Ross and Calvin Thomas; and his grandchildren, Kaden, Noah, Michael, and Golden. Clifton's legacy will continue to thrive through the love and warmth he shared with a host of family and friends. His spirit will be missed but never forgotten, and he leaves behind a rich tapestry.
