Clifford Leroy Shoeboot, Sr. was born September 3, 1941 in Muskogee, OK. He was delivered into the loving arms of his parents, Rev. Haskel James Shoeboot and Naomi Shoeboot. He was raised surrounded by his siblings.
His parents moved from Muskogee, OK to Denver, CO when he was a child. He received his education in the Denver Public Schools and graduated from Manual High School. Growing up he loved hanging out with his favorite nephew Albert Smith, and friends Sweed & Deodis.
Clifford met and married his soulmate Linda Young on October 15, 1999. and to this union was one son Javan Shoeboot and he gained a step daughter Jacque Young. Clifford' was also the proud father of Naomi, Ann, Sherry, Clifford L., Jr., Ada, James H., Tammy K., Clifford L., III, and Bobby Shoeboot.
God, family, and friends were the center of his life. He was an active member and served as Deacon of the Missionary Baptist Church which was founded in 1955 by his father Rev. Haskell J. Shoeboot.
Clifford was a mechanic and he owned his own gas station. His love for driving allowed him to be a truck driver, bus driver, and a chauffeur. Clifford love to spend his time with his kids and take them driving to the mountains, going fishing, riding bikes and stopping by City Park to feed the ducks. Clifford loved to cook big Sunday dinners for his family. His passion for BBQ lead him to create his very own BBQ Sauce that everyone loved and wanted the receipt to. The other dish he loved to make was peach cobbler that was his mother's, Naomi Shoeboot recipe which she made make often.
Clifford's sense of humor was delightful, he loved telling his jokes and enjoyed being around his family and friends he always brought joy and laughter. Clifford was a kind hearted, generous, and loving man of God and will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known him.
He is preceded in death by his daughters, Naomi, Ada and Tammy; his parents Naomi and Haskell; his sisters, Bobbie, Ruby, Birdie, and brother, John.
Deacon Clifford Leroy Shoeboot, Sr. departed this life to the embrace of the Lord on March 23, 2019 in Denver, Colorado. Those left to cherish his memory and mourn his loss include his loving and devoted wife Elizabeth Linda Young - Shoeboot of Denver; his children, Ann Shoeboot of Las Vegas, Clifford Shoeboot, Jr. of Monument, Sherry Shoeboot of Maine, James Shoeboot, Bobby Shoeboot, Clifford Shoeboot lll, Jacque Young, Javan Young- Shoeboot all of Denver; and host of grandchildren, and great grandchildren that he dearly loved.
