Clifford Brame was born March 17, 1930, in Crescent, Oklahoma to his parents, John Brame and Laura Fields Brame. The youngest of seven children; he had four brothers, Nathaniel, Fred, Cleo, John, and two sisters, Helena and Lillie. In his youth, Clifford walked a total of four miles to Frazier School where he completed the 10 grade. At the tender age of 16, Clifford left home, moving to Oklahoma City, Oklahoma where he found work at Walgreens just before moving to Denver, Colorado. He worked at Daniels and Fisher in downtown Denver prior to employment with the Keebler Company as a Sanitation Supply Clerk. After 39 years and four months of service to the Keebler Company, Clifford retired. Clifford met the love of his life, Irene Twiggs, at a social gathering. On January 28, 1952, they were united in holy matrimony in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Although there were no children born to their union, their mutual love and care was instrumental in raising, Shirley, Zibby, Karla and Tyree, as well as other family members. A man of strong faith in the Lord, Clifford was a member of Campbell Chapel A.M.E. Church. He later moved his membership to Gethsemane Temple Church of God in Christ under the pastoral leadership of Superintendent William A. Harris. Clifford was the Senior Deacon at Gethsemane where he served for the Lord for many years. Clifford loved his family, he was called Buck by his siblings, and Uncle Clifford or Uncle Buck by his many nieces and nephews. On Monday and Thursday mornings, if you wanted a free breakfast, you could show up at the Stapleton IHOP around 8:00 am, where you would find him eating breakfast. He had such a kind and loving spirit. Everywhere he went he was sure to put a smile on someone's face. Anytime you talked with Clifford you would hear stories of his life travels, family, and friends. There was always some laughter in his stories and in these stories, he would let you know how God had touched his life. He was always there to help family members, friends and even those he did not really know, some financially, some as a listener and others to offer his words of wisdom. Clifford will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him. Clifford was preceded in death by his wife Irene, his parents, and six siblings. Clifford departed this life on August 19, 2015, at Presbyterian/St. Luke's Hospital in Denver, Colorado. He leaves to cherish his memory, sister-in-law, Lula Twiggs, his church family; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
