Cindy Ann Turnbough was born in Denver, Colorado on October 26, 1970, to the parents of T. S. and Nellie Turnbough. God granted the honor of Cindy's arrival at Twelve o'clock noon in the Mercy Hospital elevator between the second and third floors. Cindy was the middle child born to this union. She had a baby sister, Bridget, and an older sister, Sandy. They remember Cindy following her big sister around everywhere; she was Sandy's shadow with "Mr. Ted," her teddy bear. She would sit waiting at the front door for her grandmother, Laddie Mae Daniel, to pick the girls up. While in her early years, Cindy loved to sing in the bathroom mirror anywhere. Cindy attended Manual High School in Denver. She was a Thunderbolt through and through; she was a member of the Pep Squad and loved to encourage her teams. Cindy sung in Manual's dynamic Choir, under direction of Ms. Davis. At times, Ms. Davis would allow Cindy to use her gift of directing to direct the Thunderbolts Choir. Cindy accepted Jesus Christ as her personal savior at an early age. She joined Greater Saint John Missionary Baptist Church on March 19, 1980, under the leadership of Reverend H.B Barefield. She was a faithful member serving in the Youth Choir, Sunday School, BTU, and the Jr. Missionary Department. She later joined Union Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, where she served in the Youth Choir, Youth Department, Sunday School, BTU, and as the Jr. President of the National Baptist Convention Youth Director. Later in life, Cindy joined the Apostolic Way Church of God and Christ, where she served in the Outreach Ministry, and the Missionary Department. Cindy became the Sunday School Superintendent, and the State Youth Director for Salem Missionary Baptist Church. She was an intricate part of the Escolites Drill Team under direction of Ms. Vera Jenkins. Cindy loved working with basketball teams, and cooking; she won numerous cook-offs for her excellence in the kitchen. Cindy was also a black belt in Karate Shotokan under James Stevenson. Cindy preceded by her, grandmothers Laddie Mae Daniel & Flossie Williams, Nephews Darius Norris & Cedric Williams, grandfather Andrew Lee Daniel. Death does not come untimely to those who are prepared. Death comes swiftly, to those who are prepared, it makes no difference. Cindy Turnbough's life ended on January 9, 2017, in Denver, Colorado.
