On June 2, 1975 in Denver, CO, Claudia Mae Evans and Herman McClure Moody were blessed with a baby boy that they named Christopher Delaney Moody. Many knew him as Chris. Chris was the youngest of 3 children. He was raised with his siblings Vanessa Evans and Wayne Evans. As a child, Chris was adventurous, fearless and ambitious. He once sold candy bars throughout the neighborhood just so that he could have some money in his pocket. He had an undeniable hustle that would follow him into his adult years. Chris received his education attending Denver Public Schools where he would later graduate from East high school in 1993. In May of 1994, Chris welcomed a beautiful baby girl named Najeé Pitts. Chris enjoyed being a father. While most children at the age of 8 were eating happy meals, Najeé was eating T-bone steaks. He loved to cook for his family and friends. Chris was such a joyous spirit that had a passion for music. Anytime you heard a beat, you could be sure that he would bust a rhyme. Chris also shared a passion for the game of sports. It didn’t matter whether, it was football, baseball or hockey, and you could guarantee that he had seen them all. Chris was such a giving man and he was willing to help anyone in need. He was just an overall good person and loved by many throughout his neighborhood. Chris had numerous best friends that will miss him dearly. Chris was preceded in death by his father Herman McClure Moody, grandparents Ester Robert and Sarah Norman Thames, John Henry and Christine Baynham Moody. Christopher Moody departed this life on Monday, November 6, 2017 in Denver, CO, at the age of 42. His memory will be cherished by his mother, Claudia Mae Evans of Denver, CO; his daughter, Najeé Pitts of Denver, CO; his sister, Vanessa Evans (Randy) of Denver, CO; his brother Wayne Evans (Linda) of Denver, CO; his uncle Raymond (Starmania) Moody of Detroit; and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, other relatives and friends.
