Charlotte Renee Badger was the 4th born child to Pearl Lee Edwards and William Louis Edwards, on February 17th, 1957, in San Antonio, Texas. She was blessed to share her childhood and help raise her brother, Keith, and sisters, Nina, Lisa, Monica, and Denise.
Charlotte matriculated through the San Antonio Public school system, graduating from Edison High School in 1975. Charlotte was a faithful member of Friendship Baptist Church. A woman of faith and love of God, she instilled the same principals to her family.
In the fall of 1975, Charlotte married Royce Earl Badger. To this union, two beautiful daughters, Erica and Janita were born. Charlotte loved her daughters and lived her life for them. She was always uplifting, caring, funny, and she taught them how to love and be loved. It is because of her example that they are great moms to their own children. It was no secret that Charlotte adored her daughters, but when she was blessed with grandchildren, she expressed an entirely different kind of love to them. Affectionately called “Granny Ball”, she spoiled them rotten. If they asked for it, Charlotte would make sure they had it. She loved each of her grandchildren the way they needed to be loved, even when they would try sneaking out of the house.
Charlotte’s love for children inspired her to become a state licensed childcare provider. She was an incredibly loving and great teacher to the children she cared for over the years. In her spare time, Charlotte enjoyed interior designing, cooking, shopping, going to brunch, and maintaining her self-care rituals with her best friend, Sharon Nelson.
Charlotte had a kind spirit and loving soul. She dedicated her life to her children and grandchildren, and she loved her family beyond their faults. She will be missed by everyone blessed to meet her acquaintance.
She is preceded in death by her parents; William Louis Edwards, and Pearl Lee Edwards; brothers, Sorney “Junior” Calvert and William Keith Edwards; and sister, Denise Palmer
