Cecil Bynum

Cecil Orlando Bynum, 50, of Denver, Colorado, was the 3rd child and only son born to Cecil Bynum, Sr. and Lacerine Bynum on July 28, 1964 in Kansas City, Kansas. He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents; uncle, Sherman Agee; aunt, Hattie Agee; and nephews, Marvin Bynum and Domineak Bynum. Cecil lived in Kansas City with his family until his early twenties and then relocated to Denver, Colorado with his son where he made that his home for the past thirty years. He received his G.E.D., and studied Law while in Colorado. He was able to counsel others and provide them with the knowledge and understanding that they needed to be successfully heard. Though he relocated for many years, the bond between a parent and child could never be broken. Through his last hours here on earth, his mother flew in to Colorado to be by his side. He passed peacefully on June 6, 2015 where he began his Journey with the Lord. Cecil leaves behind to cherish his memory: his dear parents, Cecil and Lacerine Bynum; his son, Cecil Bynum, Jr.; two sisters, Henrietta Jean Bynum and Evelyn L. Bynum; two uncles, Wendell Agee (Dorothy) and James Agee; one nephew, Gary "Raheeib" Goodspeed; nieces, LaShanda "Naeme" Bynum and LaShounda Nicole Goodspeed; a host of great nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be Saturday, June 13, at 4:30 p.m. at Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors. Interment Blue Ridge Lawn Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be from 3:30-4:30 p.m. at the chapel. Services conducted by Duane E. Harvey Funeral Directors.
