Carolyn Johnson

Carolyn Ann Johnson was born on September 24, 1945, in Beaumont, Texas to her parents, Houston Bias and Catherine Sigarst Bias. She was raised surrounded by her brothers, Houston, Leo and her sisters, Mary, Susan, Nancy and Brenda. She received her early education in Beaumont, where she attended, Martin Elementary, Lincoln Middle School and she graduated from Charlton Pollard High School in 1963. Carolyn was the proud mother of two beautiful children, Stacy and Keith. They remember her as a caring mother whose pride and joy was taking care of family. They shared many happy and precious moments together. Later her grandchildren, Damien, Alexa and Miles were an additional source of joy and pride in her life. Damien fondly called her "Granny," and Alexa and Miles remember her taking care of them, playing with them and encouraging them to have dreams and aspirations in life. They all have many happy and memorable moments that they all will cherish. Carolyn was a fun loving woman who enjoyed life and those she encircled. In her free time, she enjoyed taking long walks, gardening, traveling, watching her favorite television programs, Dancing With The Stars, The Bachelor and Western Movies just to name a few. She also enjoyed reading, babysitting and spending quality time with family and friends. She will be missed by all who were fortunate enough to have known this kind and wonderful lady, who leaves a legacy of love and laughter. To know Carolyn was to love her. Carolyn Ann Johnson departed this life on May 31, 2013, in Aurora, Colorado. Those left to cherish her memory and mourn her loss include her son, Keith A. (Mary Elizabeth) Johnson of Parker, Colorado; her daughter, Stacy C. (Derek) Sims of Kansas City, Kansas; 2 brothers, Houston Bias and Leo (Jessie) Bias all of Beaumont, TX; 4 sisters, Mary C. (Walter) White, Susan G. (Milton) Pierce, Nancy M. (Delbert) Hockless all of Beaumont, TX and Brenda K. (Lloyd) Parker of Arlington, TX; 3 grandchildren, Damien D. Baucom of Kansas City, KS, Alexa M. Johnson and Miles B. Johnson both of Parker, CO and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins other relatives and many friends.
