Carmelia Pope

Carmelia "Patti" Pope was born May 6, 1925, to Hosea Allen and Rosetta Robinson, in Warren Ohio. Patti. She was the eldest of 4 girls and grew up in Youngstown, Ohio. She accepted Christ at an early age. Patti attended the public schools of Youngstown. She often referred to herself as a "tree climbing tomboy" or "the son her dad never had." Patti married her high school sweetheart, Rodney Pope. They have lived around the United States and Japan, while Rodney was in the military. To this union, 7 children were born. The family settled in Denver, Colorado in 1954. Patti learned to sew at the age of 11 and was a skilled seamstress. She was also an avid reader with a love for books. She enjoyed sharing and discussing her readings with others. inspirational books were her favorite. Miss Patti's philosophy was to treat everyone the same. Patti is preceded in death by her husband, Rodney Pope; three children, Patricia Mebane, Sandra J. Scott and Vincent E. Patrick; her parents, Hosea and Rosetta Robinson; two sisters, Bernice Allen and Geraldine Taylor; and three granddaughters. Carmelia M. Pope affectionately called "Patti" departed this life on July 10, 2015, in Denver, Colorado. She leaves to honor and cherish her memory four sons, Hosea (Arnetha) Patrick of Ruskin FL, Alan Neal Patrick, Oliver Patrick, and Melvin Patrick, all of Denver CO.; one sister , Marjorie Jones of Youngstown, OH.; her daughter-in-law, Jan Patrick of Aurora, CO; 20 loving grandchildren, a host of great-grandchildren, great great-grandchildren, nephews, nieces other relatives and many friends.
