Carl Fluker was born the 10th child of 11 born to Julius and Parlee Fluker, on March 20, 1964, in Holly Grove, Arkansas. He was raise surrounded by his brothers and sisters. Carl received his formal education in Holly Grove, Arkansas, and graduated from Holly Grove High School in 1982. Carl excelled in basketball as guard and played his best games when his mother was present and cheering him on. His uncle, Ollie nick named him, "Pete"or "Pistol Pete." Growing up, Pete cherished the time he spent at his Grandma Flora's house. Pete began fatherhood with his loving daughter, Shaqualla and his firstborn son, Cariel "Petey", who preceded him in death. Shortly after, Pete met Dorma "Heidi" La Roche, and he stole her heart like no one could ever imagine. The two married and in 1989, Pete and Dorma "Heidi" moved to Denver, Colorado. To this union, two children were born, Tevin and Travon. The family shared many memories together. Pete was a loving family man. Everywhere he went, he would take his children. He even did all the grocery shopping for his family on Saturday's with his kids in tow. Pete work for Americold Logistics formerly known as King Soopers for almost 27 years. He was also an active member of the Teamsters Local Union #455. He had two best friends at King Soopers, Gerald Miller and David Gieger. They will miss the time they shared together, laughing and having fun. Pete was an independent man who would reach out to help anyone in need that would include strangers. He was saturated with southern hospitality and never met a stranger. Pete made lots of friends and the grocery store was a social point for him and his friends. Still now, there are friends who look for him in the stores, not knowing he is in heaven's store with Petey. Heidi remembers Pete coming home from the store and asking, "Guess who I saw at the store today?" This conversation will be sorely missed. Pete was preceded in death by his son, Cariel Patrain Fluker; his parents, Julius C. and Parlee Fluker; two brothers, Lee "Q" Fluker and Gene E. Fluker. Carl "Pete" Fluker departed this life on January 11, 2016, in Aurora, Colorado.
