Bryon Brown

January 18, 1964 — August 31, 2016

"Super," "Ray," and "Red," various nicknames for the man born January 18, 1964 named Bryon McGale Brown; he was the youngest of 5 with 1 sister, Brenda and 3 brothers; James, Buddy and Scott who preceded him in death. With his family actively involved with the church, Bryon knew the Lord was with him and at an early age he was baptized. He enjoyed listening to his mother, Norma Malone, play the organ and sing gospel hymns along with listening to gospel music on the radio every Sunday morning before church. Bryon attended Overland High School in Aurora, Colorado, and in 1985, he graduated and accepted his high school diploma. He gained many friends while attending school along with some who were his co-workers. Bryon had a special relationship with his niece, Karla Banks. They were five years apart in age. He was very protective of Karla, as he would watch her if no one could. As they grew together, they grew closer and closer. Karla remembers so many times being with Bryon especially when they would walk to the donut shop on Colfax. In addition, when he was in agreement, he would say, "You got that right!" Working was Bryon's passion and joy; he was eager to work rain, sleet, or snow. As he would say, "I got to go to work just like everybody else." He was always ready for the next day and made sure he was dressed to impress and his lunch was prepared just how he liked it. Everyone who knew Bryon understood that he would be upset if work was called off because of the weather, or if he could not go in; he would work all day every day if he could. Bryon did not like anyone messing with him making his money. Bryon received many awards for his accomplishments including participating in the Special Olympics in which he received Gold and Silver medals for the wheelchair racing competition. Bryon also volunteered countless hours of his time with Association for Retarded Citizens, ARC, and Oakland Parks Training program. Bryon would be elated when someone would come pick him up to go on car rides with whoever would drive him around. Bryon cherished family gatherings; you could see the joy and pleasure in his eyes backed with his millions of smiles plus all the food he could eat. "Yea, he could eat; don't let the size fool you!" Bryon was an avid Bronco fan from the hat and jacket to the slippers. Bryon and his brothers played a lot of sports in his younger years; he liked swimming. Not only did Bryon enjoy the outdoors; fishing was the highlight of his life, sitting by the camper on the lake just waiting for the fish to start biting. Anyone who met Bryon loved Bryon; his heart and big smile followed by his eyes was captivating. He will be truly missed. On August 31, 2016, Bryon McGale Brown departed this life in to the embrace of the Lord in Denver, Colorado. Bryon leaves to cherish his memory his mother, First Lady Norma (Pastor Marlin) Malone; his brothers, James Brewer of Denver, Buddy (Connie) Brewer of Commerce City; sister, Brenda Banks of Denver; uncle, Buddy (Edna) Thornton of Casper, WY; aunts, Delora Mottley of Aurora, Covella Williams of Texas; 9 nieces, 4 nephews, a host of other relatives, and many friends
