Bryant Griffin

Bryant DaReal Griffin, Sr. was born January 14, 1972 to parents Kenneth Smitherman-Griffin and Gloria Griffin. His life was spent growing up between St. Paul, Minnesota, and Denver, Colorado. He and his family lived in the Park Hill area and he attended George Washington High School. Bryant was preceded in death by his father, Kenneth Smitherman-Griffin, his grandparents, Claude and Corrine Smitherman, Willie D. and Claudine Culberson. As a youth, Bryant began cooking. To no surprise, he became a chef working in several restaurants. Bryant's ultimate success was his music. He excited everyone with his skill on the mic'; he was full of life and understanding. Bryant's love for his family and friends kept him grounded along with his playful comedic ways made our hearts warm. His life changed on March 15, 2011 when he married Kori Robinson. They were soul mates and they had the greatest love of all between them. Bryant DaReal Griffin departed this life to the embrace of the Lord on March 21, 2013 in Denver, Colorado. His leaves to mourn his passing his children, Bryan Clements, Brandy S. Clements-Griffin, Bryant Griffin, Jr., Tariek D. Griffin, and Raezjhiana Marie Griffin; his grandchildren, Bryan Clements Jr., Ze'Miya Clements, Li'Erra Clements; his siblings, Brian Smitherman, Daniel Griffin, Kenneth D. Griffin, Theresa Smitherman, and Raquel Griffin; a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, family and many friends.
