On February 17, 1965, Marilyn E. Sneed and Tommy L. Barlow welcomed their “Little Bundle of Joy,” Bruce Dwayne Roberts, into the world. As a child, Bruce loved hanging out with his friends, and running the neighborhood with his cousin, Kenny. The family recalls one particular-time, Bruce getting angry enough to climb on the roof until his Aunt Marlis came to talk him down from the roof and take him with her. She was the only one who could get him to come down from the roof. Bruce completed his formal education in the Denver Public Schools district. He attended Columbine Elementary, Cole Junior High, and in 1983, he graduated from George Washington High School. After graduating, he went to work with his mother, and cousin Debra where he was a master art framer at Savageau's Fine Arts and Frames. After that he became an all-around fixer-upper and do it yourself kind a guy. He was a true jack of all trades. While attending George Washington High School, Bruce met Genile Sanders, and in 1988, they were married. To this union, one child was born, Bruce, Jr. Later he met, and fell in love with Jennifer Crump, she was the love of his life to whom he dedicated his life. Bruce loved spending time with Jennifer. He also enjoyed hanging out with his friends, watching Lifetime, eating ice cream (or pretty much anything for that matter)! During his free time, he would teach all of his nieces, nephews, and cousins how to do anything. He had no problem helping anybody he knew with any help they needed. He had a genuine heart to help people. Bruce Dwayne Roberts departed this life on January 7, 2018, at the Aurora Medical Center, in Aurora, Colorado, surrounded by MANY family & friends. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his wife, Jennifer L. Crump; one son, Bruce Dwayne Roberts, Jr. of Denver; mother, Marilyn Sneed of Denver; father, Tommy Lee Barlow (Billy) of Denver; life partner, four sisters, Marie Harris, Marlis Sneed, Kimberly Barlow, all of Denver, and Laverne McCoy of On February 17, 1965, Marilyn E.
