As beautiful as a rose to see, was her life she lived so gracefully. She made things precious by her touch; her selfless love lives on in each of us. The petals of her life fell one by one; each a gift of her heart till there were none. Yet her radiance blooms once again in fields of glory with no end.
Brittany Rose Chidinma Nnorom Hollie was born July 30, 1982 in Denver, Colorado, to Linda Nnaji of Denver, Colorado, and Obi Nnorom. She was the oldest of two children that included her sister Chinelo Nnaji whose father Ameechi Nnaji raised her with Linda through her young years. Brittany’s fondest memory as a youth was hanging out with her Great Granddad who she affectionately called daddy Howard, they would sit up and watch old movies and TV’s shows. She always expressed how much she missed him because how gentle he was with her.
Brittany attended Emily Griffith High School and was a proud graduate of 2000. Brittany started her Career at Comcast as a Customer care rep in 2006. She excelled in that Role, until 2012 when she conquered her next challenge on the business side of Comcast on the complex team as an account representative. In 2015 she took on an even more challenging role at Comcast as a partner account manager before becoming a program manager in 2018 until her death.
Brittany was energetic magnetic, and she would make lifelong friends at the drop of a hat. She had an infectious smile. Just a joy to be around. She was dependable, trustworthy, and a problem solver. She was often the glue holding many cliques together.
No matter what the function was, Brittany was the Bartender and the DJ. She had a knack for making people feel comfortable. She was always Lending a helping to any of her friends and family. I would have to say Brittany's passion was food. She always liked trying new cuisines and new recipes and would try about anything once. Her 2nd passion would have to be music. She loved everything old-school R&B and Hip hop and even enjoyed some Gospel. Her favorite artist is Chris Brown. Her favorite Rapper was Tupac.
The Joys’ in Brittany’s life was her sister Chinelo and her nephew Jordan. She spent most of her teenage years as a mother figure to Chinelo, always being there when she needed her. Always there giving her sound advice and a chastising if needed. This was also true with her nephew Jordan. Brittany captured every aspect of his life on camera. She was very excited to have him in her life. She was always talking about him at work and on social media. She never made move without him in mind, he was hers, and he felt that same affection for her. She later became his custodial guardian in August of 2020 until her death.
On November 15, 2017, Brittany united in Holy Matrimony with Eric Hollie. Eric met Brittany on Facebook. They were in a combined group called COED/Let it rip. What went unnoticed was that Brittany was the 1st person to greet Eric when he joined that group. Little did he know she would later become a wife. What attracted Eric to Brittany was her sense of humor and quick-wittedness. Sight unseen Even through typed words, her personality was appealing. Even though they lived on different sides of the country, Eric mustered up the courage started an inbox conversation with her, and the connection was immediate. They got to know each other through Facebook messenger and late-night phone conversations. The night before Eric's 1st visit to Denver, they cried, call it nervousness, anxiousness. They weren't sure, but when they finally saw each other in person, it felt like we had known each other forever. They both had so much fun and could talk about anything.
