Sunday Morning, March 6, Beverly Jean Robinson made her transition after battling seven years of a state of mind of dementia at Denver's Manor Care. Her parents were Joe and Madeline(Hall) Maxey. Beverly was married to Tommie Edward Robinson, who passed away in July, 2015. She was the beautiful mother of Diane Kaye Robinson, who preceded her in death 10 years earlier, and Thomas Edward Robinson (spouse-Cleo Parker Robinson). She had five grand and eight great grandchildren: Maia, Mallan, Cherish (past away), Leslie, Malik, Jah Brea, Tyandre, Amani, Mallan Jr., Alaysia, Citlamina, Ximalma, and Xareni. She was sister to Betty, Wilma, Lovie, Dorothy, Marie, Charlene, Helen, and Sonny. Beverly was an outstanding secretary with a career that lasted over 30 years with the Air Force Finance Center. She received her training for this career from programs at the American Woodmen where she became an accomplished stenographer. In her young adult life she annually participated in various bowling leagues whose members, including herself, traveled to various parts of the western United States to compete. At one time, Beverly carried an average of 150. She loved playing all types of card games, including Bid Whist, Poker, Tonk, and Bridge. For many years, she was one of nine women who called themselves the 8 O'clock 9 that played cards monthly at each other's home. The odd person out would host while the other 8 played bridge to their hearts content. After retiring from civil service with the Air Force in the late 1980's, Beverly earned her Real Estate License and successfully sold homes for more than 15 years. During those times and after, she was called Nanna around her home that she shared with Diane and her children at 14785 East Jewell Avenue in Aurora. The front door was always open and there was no shortage of activity and laughter. The viewing of Mrs. Robinson will be March 23 from 3pm-6pm at Pipkin Braswell Mortuary with interment on March 28 at 12 noon at Fort Logan Cemetery. Her life celebration will be May 2, her birthday, at Cleo Parker Robinson Dance Theater at 6pm. In lieu of flowers please make a contribution to Manor Care of Denver, specifically to the Memory Care ward, % of Christine James, at 290 S. Monaco Parkway, Denver, Colorado, 80224.
